A. Child support
The nature of this project is different from other projects because it is almost dependent on local sponsors unlike other child development projects. We are currently raising local sponsors. There are 62 children served in the project while they live with their relatives/extended families. The project provides the following services, among others: school fee, educational materials, medical treatment, clothing, and supplementary food, counseling, spiritual, shelter, etc.
B. Family empowerment
Facilitation of child environment through family empowerment is the main strategy of the Stand for Vulnerable Organization (SVO). The families of beneficiary children are organized in to self-help business groups. This helps to train them on saving, employment generation skills, discovery of self-esteem and encouragement to secure livelihood through enabling them to be engaged in income generating activities so that they are able to send their kids to school in a sustainable way.
